Basic is the new "B" word

Around a year and a half ago a woman became strangely obsessed with me, to the point of stalking me, and by that I mean she was sending me scary email after scary email. Some days five or more emails, every one getting more and more disturbing. Eventually she sent an email threatening my children. That was it and I decided that I didn't really want to blog and stopped for a while and then I tried only blogging once in a blue moon and was always nervous I was going to wake up a sleeping dragon. It was an unpleasant experience and I do still watch over my shoulder for the dragon.  After that experience when I did blog I wasn't myself and was restricting what I wrote and posted. I didn't enjoy that type of blogging and it became almost a chore. I have all those email saved to this day, I save all emails from bloggers, school and business transactions...I guess you can add stalker to the list of saved emails. After that ordeal I realized how I was letting someone else determine what I wrote, thought, and ruin what I loved. That was the day I wrote the post titled S%&T Storm and decided that I would write anything I wanted and readers could stay or go, but I was going to post what I wanted, write the way I felt  and enjoy MY blog again. I did just that and I have loved it since. That experience taught me that I will never make everyone happy but it also taught me that I will NEVER let someone else determine what I write or don't write.



 I mention all of this because after my post yesterday on my Christmas decorating/giveaway I received an email from a very angry blogger (who is also some what of a local gal). I'll call her Chic Mommy (not her name, not her blog name, )anyway, Chic Mommy sends me an email blasting me and accusing me of referencing her and her blog (remember she is talking about my Christmas decorating post from yesterday). I DO NOT understand her rant or accusations. I wrote about my Christmas decorations, my style and my friends and family styles, my love for all types of Christmas decorating...all I can say is WHAT NERVE!  I am a big personality and have openly admitted that I'm a lot to take in, but I think Chic Mommy now has that market cornered because even I wouldn't have the nerve to accuse another blogger of that.

Apparently the new "B" word is BASIC, who knew? I didn't get that memo but I have now! Part of her email was..."then make references on your blog to my work and "basic" style. I don't care if you don't mention my name and you can deny you refer to me but I get the odd feeling you do refer to me and I am tired of it. please stop...you don't understand or get what I do or who I am...that is fine...just don't look at my blog or instagram and I will do the same."


I had no idea one person could be so full of there self, Chic Mommy and I are not close, are not friends, she doesn't even know The Judge's real name! But yet she thinks she can place judgement like she did after my post on Christmas decorating. I have tried to be beyond friendly to Chic Mommy, I have invited her to many, many things and she has replied no to every single offer, I have answered all email from Chic Mommy and tried to be a friend ( I have asker her questions I would and have asked any of my friends). After receiving her email I called her twice and she would not answer I did reply to her email and even gave her an "out." I stated in my reply to Chic Mommy that I hope her email was a reaction to her having a bad day and that she really wasn't a mean spirited person. I got no response. Okay, then maybe she wasn't having a bad day and maybe Chic Mommy isn't a nice woman...I give up and should have a LONG time ago.  She ended her email saying she would not look at my blog again...well thank you, that's a gift right there, but I doubt it's a true statement. 10200750265

I will not be told what I can or can not blog about ever again and for someone to send me an email based on an "odd feeling" to Chic Mommy I say I make a better friend than an enemy.
